Messi Needs a Break, Not a Pointless All-Star Game
Javier Mascherano has come out and said what everyone’s thinking: Lionel Messi doesn’t need to waste his time in some meaningless All-Star game. The man’s been carrying teams on his back for years, and now he’s in Miami trying to do the same. He needs rest, not another run-around.
Messi’s been putting in the effort week in, week out. His finishing is still top-notch, but he’s not a machine. Even the best need a breather. It’s about time people realized that. The All-Star game is just a show, and Messi’s got nothing to prove there. He’s already shown he’s the best in the world.
Defensively, Miami’s got issues, and Messi can’t fix everything. The team needs to sort themselves out at the back, and that’s not going to happen if their star player is off doing PR stunts. They need to focus on the league, not distractions.
The mentality here is all wrong. Prioritize what matters. Messi’s got a job to do in Miami, and it’s not playing in a game that means nothing. Let the man rest, recharge, and come back ready to win real matches. That’s what matters.
