Chargers’ Najee Harris expects to be ready for 2025 after sustaining an eye injury on July 4

Najee Harris: Eye Injury Excuse or Just Another Setback?

Najee Harris, now with the Chargers, is out until 2025 because of an eye injury. Seriously? An eye injury? This is the NFL, not a knitting club. After four seasons with the Steelers, he couldn’t even secure a long-term deal. Why? Because he hasn’t done enough to deserve one.

At 27, Harris is already on a one-year, $5.25 million contract. That’s not exactly a vote of confidence. Maybe if he spent less time worrying about his next Instagram post and more time on the field, he wouldn’t be in this mess.

The Chargers took a gamble on him, and now they’re left with nothing. Harris needs to stop making excuses and start delivering. Injuries happen, but the best players find a way to overcome them. If he wants to be taken seriously, he better come back ready to prove he’s worth more than a short-term deal.

Until then, it’s just another case of wasted potential.
