Commanders’ Terry McLaurin wants it ‘abundantly clear’ that he wishes to stay with Washington

Commanders’ Terry McLaurin Wants to Stay with Washington

Terry McLaurin says he wants to stay with Washington. Big deal. Players say a lot of things. The Commanders had a decent season, 12-5, but let’s not get carried away. It’s their first time winning more than 12 games since 1991. That’s over 30 years of mediocrity.

McLaurin’s talking about loyalty, but let’s be honest, loyalty in football is as rare as a unicorn. If the money’s right, players will jump ship faster than you can say “contract extension.”

The Commanders were led by a rookie QB. That’s impressive, but it also shows how low the bar was set. A rookie comes in and suddenly they’re winning games. What does that say about the veterans? Maybe they should take a long, hard look in the mirror.

Washington’s got a long way to go before they’re a real threat. One good season doesn’t make you a contender. It’s about consistency, hard work, and not getting complacent.

So, McLaurin wants to stay. Good for him. But actions speak louder than words. Let’s see if he can back it up on the field. Otherwise, it’s just more hot air.
